How to import the D34 LUTs into your Nikon ZR

  1. Format your card: Insert your CFexpress or SD card into the camera and format it using the camera’s setup menu to ensure it’s compatible (exFAT for >64GB).
  2. Create the LUT Folder: Put the formatted card into your computer. Inside the NIKON folder on the card, create a new folder named LUTS (all caps).
  3. Add Your LUTs: Place your .cube files into the newly created LUTS folder. Use LUTs with “Rec709” in the filename for proper display on the camera’s monitor.
  4. Insert Card & Access Menu: Put the card back in the Nikon Z r. Go to the Setup Menu (wrench icon) > G (Video) settings.
  5. Enable View Assist & 3D LUT:
    • Turn G14 (View Assist) to On.
    • Go to G15 (3D LUT) and push right on the joystick.
  6. Import the LUT:
    • Turn 3D LUT to On.
    • Select Import CUBE File and push right.
    • Choose the .cube file you want to import (you might see temporary ._ files on Mac that you need to ignore or delete on the computer first).
    • Select a destination slot and press OK to import.
