What is D34 and what is it for?

D34 is a LUT to be used in your color management program or directly on set, on your camera or monitor for Blackmagic (BMPCC 6K/4K Pro, URSA), Sony S-Log3 (FX3, FX30, FX6, FX9). Providing an instantly cinematic look.

It has been designed after observing hundreds of movies, advertisements and video clips. To reduce the current trend in the sector in color calibration variables and be able to apply the latest color techniques quickly and efficiently. Achieving a very attractive cinematic look in just a few clicks.

These LUTs have been used in projects for international brands such as Nike or Carlsberg.

In addition, it has been created to be used directly on camera or on your field monitor so that on set you can see the final look. Helping to work faster and so that the director or the client can understand how the final scene will look in real time during the shoot.

Why use D34?

The current industry trend is to use complex LUTs like D34 throughout the entire production process. Who is D34 for?

D34 has been created for colorists, filmmakers, DOPs and creators who are looking to have an analog film look but want to be able to use the advantages that using current film cameras with RAW format provides.

Have been create two D34 LUTs that will allow you to give 2 different looks to your videos.

D34 Natural / D34 Dream

D34 Natural

This LUT will change the contrast levels in the image. Between old school cinema colors and a natural color palette. Also it improve skin color tone. Giving a very natural cinematic look with old school touch to your image.

D34 Dream

This LUT will give us the same image contrast levels and color tone of our skin as the D34 Natural. Also, it changes other colors such as the skies or cold color temperatures. Giving a very special cinematic look to your image.

How to use D34 and what does it include?

Simply apply the LUT directly to the RAW image and you’ll see the look. From there you can modify and add more variables or leave it as is. Since D34 provides you with changes in color, contrast, saturation, etc. Obtaining a very refined look without having to spend time adjusting the color.

If you want to use it directly on the camera or on your field monitor. D34 works with standard .cube files that you will only have to import to your device using a memory card. Being able to see the final look on the filming set.
