What is D34 and what is it for?
D34 is a LUT to be used in your color management program or directly on set, on your camera or monitor for Blackmagic (like PYXIS, BMPCC 4K/6K/6K Pro, URSA) and Sony S-Log3 (like A7SIII, A7C, A7IV, FX3, FX30, FX6, FX9). Providing an instantly cinematic look.
There is also a version of D34 created to work in the standard Rec709 color space. You can’t use it directly in camera but it is compatible with all color calibration / edition softwares and you can use it with RAW or LOG videos created with any camera.
So, you can combine videos created with different cameras like your DJI drone, ProRes created with your iPhone and your RED Komodo X and use all of them with these D34 LUTs.
D34 has been designed after observing hundreds of movies, advertisements and video clips. To reduce the current trend in the sector in color calibration variables and be able to apply the latest color techniques quickly and efficiently. Achieving a very attractive cinematic look in just a few clicks.
In addition, it has been created to be used directly on camera or on your field monitor so that on set you can see the final look. Helping to work faster and so that the director or the client can understand how the final scene will look in real time during the shoot.
